Hi Everyone!

My name is Laurie Kim and I'm this year's KASY: Korean American Students at Yale, Community Chair and would like to invite you all to this Saturday's Adopted Friends Picnic! I apologize for the very short notice of this invite. There were various scheduling conflicts we did not expect to encounter and as such, please excuse us for the very belated invite!! >_<''

But yes, the picnic will be held on Old Campus in LC from 12:30-4:30pm

For those who are not familiar with KASY's Adopted Friends Picnic, it is a biannual picnic event that invites families with Korean American Adoptees (KADs) to spend an afternooon with fellow Koreans and experience Korean culture through food, music, and games provided by KASY. It's a longheld tradition by KASY and has always enjoyed immense success and large turnout by both parties invited. As such, we would be more than grateful to welcome you all to this event and provide an opportunity for our guests a unified front of the Korean-American community here at Yale.

If anyone is also interested in helping us staff the event, that would be most appreciated! Currently we are looking for anyone experienced in traditional Korean calligraphy, Korean samulnori percussion, as well as traditional buchaechum or taekwondo. All are welcome!!! Also, if any are well versed in Korean folk tales, we are also on the look out for any talented oral storytellers for the small children :) Please email ASAP if interested in being a Big Sib or staffing!

Thank you so much, we look forward to hopefully seeing you this Saturday!

Laurie Kim
